Bengaluru-based Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, has launched the Ampere Magnus Neo, an updated version of its Magnus EX electric scooter. Priced at INR 79,999 (ex-showroom), the Magnus Neo offers enhanced features aimed at making eco-friendly commuting more accessible.
The Magnus Neo, which builds on the legacy of the Magnus series, is designed to cater to the evolving needs of urban commuters. With a top speed of 65 kmph, a certified range of over 100 kilometers, and a portable battery that charges in 5-6 hours, the scooter emphasizes practicality and sustainability. It is equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a warranty of five years or 75,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.
Ahead of its showcase at Auto Expo 2025 in Delhi, the Magnus Neo was tested on a 2,000-kilometer journey from Bengaluru to Delhi, underscoring its durability and performance. The vehicle is available in five colors: Metallic Red, Glacial White, Ocean Blue, Galactic Grey, and Glossy Black. It also features optional smart connectivity, USB charging, and reverse mode for added convenience.
The Magnus Neo reflects GEML’s broader commitment to promoting electric mobility in India. The Magnus series has been well-received by consumers, and this latest model is expected to build on that momentum. According to Kunnakavil Vijaya Kumar, Executive Director and CEO of GEML, the Magnus Neo aligns with the company’s vision of driving widespread adoption of electric mobility in the country.
The Magnus Neo will be available at Ampere dealerships across India starting January 2025, with financing options starting at 5.75% annual interest.
