Amaron, the automotive battery brand owned by Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited, has partnered with the Vedanta Delhi Half Marathon 2026 as its Power Partner. The association will include race-day power support, interactive charging facilities and an activation designed to capture energy generated by runners’ footsteps.
The company said its batteries will support the start-up of generator sets across the 21km race route on October 18. These will serve infrastructure including motivation zones, hydration points, rest areas and lighting.
As part of the on-ground activities, runners will receive personalised cheering messages at the 20km mark as they approach the final stretch. At the event expo, scheduled to take place at Yashobhoomi in Dwarka from October 15 to 17, a giant Amaron battery installation will serve as a mobile charging station for participants collecting their race bibs.
A key activation will feature kinetic floor tiles designed to capture energy generated by runners’ footsteps. Sensors will measure the energy produced, while an energy management system will channel it into Amaron batteries. The initiative is intended to demonstrate the potential of converting human movement into stored energy.
Amaron will also run a promotional campaign around the event under the tagline ‘Half Marathon. Full Energy’. The campaign will use print, outdoor advertising, transit media and radio across Delhi in the lead-up to race day.
Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan, President and Chief Business Officer, Automotive and Home Energy Business (India and SAARC), Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited, said the association would extend the brand’s focus on dependable power to the sporting event’s infrastructure and participant experiences.
