Amaron, the automotive battery brand of Amara Raja Energy & Mobility, has launched its True 4Ah Battery for India’s 100cc–125cc commuter motorcycle segment. The company says the battery delivers a true 4Ah output when tested under JIS D5302.

The launch comes as commuter motorcycles increasingly feature LED lighting, TFT instrument clusters, USB charging ports and idle start-stop systems, which place higher electrical demands on their batteries. Amaron is positioning the product under its new campaign, “Modern Bikes Ki True Power”.

The battery is backed by a 48-month pro rata warranty. Amaron says it is designed to provide starting power and support for motorcycles with higher electrical loads in everyday commuting conditions.

The new battery is targeted at the fast-growing 100cc–125cc commuter motorcycle segment. According to Amaron, the product addresses the gap between claimed and actual battery output, with its 4Ah capacity tested under the JIS D5302 standard.

“Today’s commuter motorcycles carry real technology like LED lighting, TFT clusters, USB charging, start-stop features, all running on real demand,” said Chandrasekar Radhakrishnan, Chief Business Officer – Automotive and Home Energy Business (India & SAARC), Amara Raja Energy & Mobility.

The battery is intended to support the electrical requirements of feature-rich commuter motorcycles, including those equipped with connected and convenience features that increase battery usage.

Amaron will initially roll out the True 4Ah Battery across eight markets: Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Jaipur.
