Amara Raja Posts 16% Revenue Growth in FY26
For the fourth quarter of FY26, the company reported revenue of ₹3,460 crore, up 16.3%.
Amara Raja Energy & Mobility Limited reported a 16% year-on-year increase in revenue for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, driven by strong growth in its automotive, home energy, and new energy businesses. The company also announced a final dividend of ₹5.2 per share.
The Hyderabad-based energy storage and mobility solutions provider posted revenue from operations of ₹13,549 crore in FY26, compared with ₹12,405 crore in FY25, marking an increase of ₹1,144 crore or 9.2% year-on-year. Profit before tax (PBT) stood at ₹1,307 crore for FY26, marginally higher than ₹1,299 crore reported in the previous financial year, reflecting a rise of around 0.6%. Earnings per share (EPS) for the year came in at ₹53.02.
For the fourth quarter of FY26, the company reported revenue of ₹3,460 crore, up from ₹2,974 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering growth of approximately 16.3%. Quarterly PBT surged to ₹433 crore from ₹224 crore in Q4 FY25, an increase of nearly 93.3%. Compared with the previous quarter ended December 2025, revenue rose 3.3% from ₹3,351 crore, while PBT more than doubled from ₹207 crore, reflecting a sequential increase of about 109.2%.
The company said volatility in raw material prices impacted margins in its lead-acid battery business during the year. However, it highlighted strong momentum in its new energy segment, which recorded approximately 60% revenue growth over the previous year.
Executive Director – Automotive and Industrial, Harshavardhana Gourineni said the automotive business delivered strong performance during FY26, supported by original equipment manufacturer (OEM) growth of over 20% and steady aftermarket demand. He added that the company’s home energy business also recorded robust growth, while lithium solutions for the telecom sector continued to expand steadily.
On the company’s new energy initiatives, Executive Director – New Energy Business, Vikramadithya Gourineni said the company’s Giga Corridor infrastructure, including its R&D centre and qualification plant, is under commissioning and expected to become operational within the next month. He said the company remains on track to commence its first 2 GWh of cell manufacturing by June 2027.
Chairman and Managing Director Jayadev Galla said the company’s consistent performance was supported by its leadership in the lead-acid battery segment and growing momentum in new energy businesses. He added that the company’s focus on diversification into new products and battery chemistries positions it strongly for future growth in India’s energy storage sector.
