Amara Raja Opens Nominations For 4th Better Way Awards, Adds Student Category

Amara Raja Group has announced the fourth edition of its Better Way Awards, with nominations open to rural and women entrepreneurs across India. The 2026 edition introduces a new category, Changemaker of Tomorrow, for graduate and postgraduate students developing ideas, solutions or business models focused on rural development.

Applications are open until November 11, 2026, with entries being accepted through Amara Raja's website. Each of the four award categories carries a Rs 3 lakh cash prize and one year of structured mentoring covering finance, HR, marketing, IT and supply chain.

The awards were instituted in 2023 and are intended to recognise businesses contributing to rural income generation, employment and innovation. The company said the programme has recognised nine entrepreneurs and enterprises across its first three editions.

Amara Raja Better Way Awards 2026 Categories

The fourth edition will recognise entries across four categories:

• Amara Raja Better Way Award for Women Employment
• Amara Raja Better Way Award for Rural Income Generation
• Amara Raja Better Way Award for Best Agri-Based Business
• Amara Raja Better Way Award for Changemaker of Tomorrow

The newly introduced Changemaker of Tomorrow category is open to graduate and postgraduate students whose ideas, solutions or business models offer scalable approaches to rural development and upliftment.

Selection Process And Award Benefits

Entries will be evaluated by an independent panel of experts based on their social and community impact and contribution to local employment.

Winners in each category will receive Rs 3 lakh and a year of structured mentoring across finance, HR, marketing, IT and supply chain. Applications close on November 11, 2026.

Previous Better Way Awards Winners

Across the first three editions, the programme has recognised nine entrepreneurs and enterprises, including Thanima Products and Marketing in Kerala, Siyanjali Retails in Himachal Pradesh, Farm2Fam in Maharashtra, Resham Sutra in Ranchi, Bhaumya Innovations in Telangana and Shreeja Mahila Milk Producer Company in Tirupati. Other recipients include Anuttama Products, Ilaagri Services and Ayurarogya Saukhyam Foundation.
