Amara Raja Group founder honoured with Mahatma Award for Lifetime Achievement

Dr. Ramachandra N Galla, founder and leader of the Amara Raja Group, has been honoured with the Mahatma Award for Lifetime Achievement. This award recognises social impact leaders and change-makers who work towards improving the world through sustainability, philanthropy, and corporate social responsibility across the private, public, and development sectors.
The award was presented to Dr. Galla by Dr. Kiran Bedi, India’s first female IPS officer and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, along with Nayantara Sahgal, renowned author and niece of former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Amit Sachdeva, founder of the Mahatma Award, and Rajashree Birla, Chairperson of the Aditya Birla Centre for Rural Development and Community Initiatives.
Supported by the Aditya Birla Group, the Mahatma Award has recognised more than 250 change-makers since its inception.
On receiving the award, Dr. Galla expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am deeply honoured to receive the Mahatma Award for Lifetime Achievement. This recognition reinforces our commitment to driving business success while making a positive and lasting impact on society.
