Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies has appointed Aditya Kumar Tiwari as Head of Engineering & Design, HV Batteries, strengthening its engineering leadership as the company expands its presence in advanced battery technologies.

Tiwari returns to India after spending five years overseas with Volvo Group in Sweden and VinFast in Vietnam, where he gained experience across the automotive and electric vehicle sectors.

Tiwari said his return was driven by a desire to contribute to India’s growing electrification ecosystem. He said the move also fulfilled a promise he had made to himself before leaving India to pursue broader career opportunities.

Tiwari's Role at Amara Raja: Engineering HV Batteries

At Amara Raja, Tiwari will lead engineering and design activities for high-voltage batteries, an increasingly important area as Indian automakers expand their electric vehicle portfolios.

Amara Raja's Push Beyond Lead-Acid Batteries

The appointment comes as Amara Raja builds its capabilities beyond conventional lead-acid batteries and invests in advanced cell and battery technologies for emerging mobility applications.
