ALP Group unveiled its new Paint Protection Film (PPF) product line at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The company introduced three variants - Defender, Armor, and Ranger - designed to protect vehicle surfaces from environmental damage.
"Our Paint Protection Film combines technology with durability to meet market demands," said Tejbir Singh Anand, Managing Director of ALP Overseas Pvt. Ltd., during the launch. The films feature self-healing technology for minor scratches and UV protection to prevent discoloration.
The company plans to distribute the products through its existing network of partners across global markets. The films are designed to be installed by automotive professionals and aim to provide protection against weather conditions and daily wear.
ALP Group, which has operated in the manufacturing sector for over 40 years, developed the PPF line after market research and product testing. The automotive protection film industry has seen steady growth in recent years, driven by increasing vehicle ownership and consumer interest in maintaining vehicle appearance.
The global automotive paint protection film market reached $450 million in 2024, according to industry reports. Market analysts project continued growth as vehicle owners seek long-term protection solutions for their investments.
Paint protection films emerged in the 1970s, originally developed for military helicopter rotor blades before finding commercial automotive applications. Today, these films are used across various vehicle segments, from passenger cars to premium vehicles.
The launch comes as India's automotive aftermarket sector expands, with growing demand for vehicle protection products. Industry experts note that increasing awareness about vehicle maintenance and rising disposable incomes have contributed to market growth in the protective films segment.
