AJAX Engineering Unveils UDAAN at EXCON 2025

AJAX Engineering has introduced UDAAN, a compact concrete mixing solution designed for India's construction industry, at EXCON 2025. The product represents the company's strategic effort to expand mechanised concreting adoption among small and mid-sized contractors.

The newly launched UDAAN features a 0.8 cubic meter drum capacity and incorporates a CEV Stage V-compliant engine. According to the company, the equipment addresses persistent labour shortages in the construction sector while enabling smaller contractors to transition from manual processes to mechanised operations.

Shubhabrata Saha, MD and CEO of AJAX Engineering, emphasised the company's three-decade legacy in India's concreting industry. He noted that UDAAN builds on the company's innovations, including its patented load-cell technology, which the firm says delivers precise concrete measurement across various applications.

At the exhibition, AJAX displayed an extensive product portfolio spanning self-loading concrete mixers, batching plants, electric concrete pumps, and a 3D concrete printer. The company highlighted its indigenously developed slip form paver, which has been exported to Russia and Africa, supporting its "Make in India, Made for the World" positioning.

The company operates four manufacturing facilities with plans for a fifth. AJAX maintains over 100 service touchpoints across India and has established distribution channels in 23 countries, with products reaching 45 global markets.

AJAX has also developed the AJAX School of Concrete, a training initiative aimed at equipping operators and technicians with skills to handle modern concreting machinery. This educational programme addresses the skills gap that has historically limited the adoption of advanced construction equipment in the Indian market.

Founded in 1992 and headquartered in Bangalore, AJAX Engineering has positioned itself as a significant player in the self-loading concrete mixer segment. The company's product range covers concrete production, transportation, and placement equipment.
