ACMA Names Sriram Viji President, Anjali Singh President-Designate

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA) has appointed Sriram Viji, Managing Director of Brakes India, as its President for the 2026–27 term. Anjali Singh, Executive Chairperson of ANAND Group and Gabriel India, has been named President-Designate.

The appointments were announced by ACMA on September 3, 2026. Viji will lead the industry body as the Indian auto component sector addresses supply-chain diversification, access to critical raw materials and changes in vehicle technology.

ACMA Director General Vinnie Mehta said the association's priorities under the new leadership would include engagement with the government and industry, supply-chain diversification, access to critical raw materials and strengthening India's competitiveness in global markets.

Sriram Viji outlines ACMA priorities

Viji said his priorities as ACMA President include increasing local capabilities and investment in advanced technologies, research and development and innovation. He also identified sustainability as an area of focus for the component industry.

He said the growth of electric, connected and new-energy mobility would require component manufacturers to develop capabilities for emerging technologies and work towards higher-value manufacturing and next-generation mobility applications.

ACMA represents over 1,000 component manufacturers

ACMA represents India's organised auto component industry and has more than 1,064 member manufacturers, which together account for more than 90 per cent of the industry's organised-sector turnover.

According to ACMA, the Indian auto component industry's combined turnover stood at USD 80.2 billion in FY2025, while exports were valued at USD 22.9 billion. The industry recorded a trade surplus of USD 500 million during the year.
