2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Launched At Rs 8.23 Lakh
2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S gets 62.4Nm of torque, smaller brake discs and a new colour, with prices starting at Rs 8.23 lakh.
Kawasaki has updated the Vulcan S for the 2027 model year in India, with prices starting at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The cruiser receives a revised engine tune, smaller brake discs and a new paint scheme over the outgoing 2026 model.
The 2027 Vulcan S is Rs 10,000 more expensive than the 2026 model, with deliveries scheduled to begin in mid-September 2026. The motorcycle continues to use the same 649cc parallel-twin engine and mechanical package, apart from the changes to engine tune and braking hardware.
Kawasaki Vulcan S Gets More Torque For 2027
The Vulcan S continues with its 649cc parallel-twin engine, producing 61hp. For 2027, Kawasaki has restored the torque output that was reduced for the 2026 model.
The 2026 Vulcan S produced 61Nm, a 1.4Nm reduction from the previous version. For 2027, torque rises to 62.4Nm, matching the output of the 2024 model. Peak power remains unchanged at 61hp, with Kawasaki making no changes to the motorcycle's power and torque delivery.
The remainder of the mechanical package has been carried over.
Kawasaki Vulcan S Gets Smaller Brake Discs
The 2027 Vulcan S retains dual-disc brakes and dual-channel ABS, but both brake rotors are smaller than those on the 2026 model.
The front disc now measures 272mm, compared with 300mm on the outgoing model. At the rear, the disc diameter has been reduced to 216mm from 250mm.
The suspension setup remains unchanged. It uses a 41mm front fork with 130mm of travel and a linkage-mounted rear monoshock with 80mm of travel and adjustable preload.
The motorcycle continues with a 705mm seat height and 130mm of ground clearance. Kerb weight remains unchanged at 235kg.
Kawasaki Vulcan S Gets New Colour
For 2027, Kawasaki has replaced the previous Metallic Flat Spark Black finish with Metallic Carbon Gray, which features bluish-green highlights.
The Vulcan S continues with the same analogue-digital instrument cluster. Dual-channel ABS remains its only rider aid.
2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S Price And Rivals
The 2027 Kawasaki Vulcan S is priced at Rs 8.23 lakh (ex-showroom), representing a Rs 10,000 increase over the outgoing model. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-September 2026.
The Vulcan S continues to occupy a niche in the Indian cruiser market without a direct rival. Its closest alternative is the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, which is priced considerably lower at Rs 4.05 lakh.
