Škoda Auto India is estimated to have sold approximately 7,906 units in March 2026, based on its declared Q1 2026 total of 20,028 units and known monthly figures of 6,361 units in February and 5,739 units in January. If confirmed, this would edge past the brand's previous all-time monthly record of 7,422 units posted in March 2025 — a year-on-year increase of roughly 6.5 per cent.
The March 2025 record had been driven almost entirely by the Kylaq's early momentum, with the sub-compact SUV having just entered deliveries in January 2025 and accumulating over 15,000 bookings within its first three months. A year later, the Kylaq has crossed 50,000 cumulative sales and continues to anchor Škoda's volumes, though its base effect means YoY growth at the model level is now moderating — the SUV posted 4,532 units in February 2026, up 25 per cent YoY but already a high base to beat.
The more significant variable heading into March 2026 is the new Kushaq, whose prices were announced on 21 March 2026. The facelift had effectively been off the market in the preceding months — retail fell to just 9 units in February 2026, down 99 per cent YoY from 434 units, as buyers waited for the updated model. The new Kushaq's arrival, featuring an eight-speed automatic transmission and enhanced standard equipment, is expected to have provided an incremental volume contribution in March and a more meaningful one from Q2 2026 onwards.
The Slavia, meanwhile, has provided a consistent secondary pillar, posting 1,674 units in February 2026 — up 86 per cent YoY — continuing a recovery trend that partially offsets the Kushaq's pre-launch gap.
"Continuing our growth surge into 2026 with our biggest-ever quarter is a strong validation of the momentum we have built over the past year. After achieving a record in 2025, it is encouraging to see that we are sustaining this trajectory while also setting new benchmarks for ourselves," said Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India.
The Q1 2026 total of 20,028 units marks a 17 per cent increase over 17,138 units in Q1 2025 and follows a landmark 2025 in which Škoda India retailed 72,665 units — a 107 per cent year-on-year jump. The brand currently operates 330 customer touchpoints across more than 180 cities, retailing four models: Kylaq, Slavia, Kushaq and Kodiaq.
