Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has officially added Bentley to its brand portfolio, taking over import, distribution, and service operations for the British luxury carmaker across India from 1 July 2025. The move brings Bentley under the same management umbrella as Škoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Lamborghini, and Porsche in the country.
To oversee these operations, SAVWIPL has established a new group company named Bentley India, which will manage all marketing, sales, and after-sales services. Abbey Thomas has been appointed as the Brand Director of Bentley India.
Bentley India will begin with three dealership locations. Showrooms in Bengaluru and Mumbai have been confirmed, while a New Delhi outlet is expected to open soon. These facilities will offer Bentley vehicles and services to customers in India’s premium automotive segment.
Commenting on the development, Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of SAVWIPL, said that the addition of Bentley completes the Group’s presence across various segments of the luxury automotive space. He also noted that Abbey Thomas’s familiarity with the Indian market will support the brand’s local operations.
Jan Bures, Executive Director – Sales, Marketing and Digital at SAVWIPL, added that the growing ultra-high-net-worth segment in India presents an opportunity for Bentley’s offerings, and the Group will work with its dealer partners to ensure a consistent ownership experience.
Bentley has had a presence in India for more than two decades. Its integration into SAVWIPL aims to align operations and ensure continuity in service and support for its customers.
Škoda Auto Volkswagen India is headquartered in Pune and manages operations of six brands in India. The company runs manufacturing facilities in Chakan (Pune) and Shendra (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar), and offers a mix of battery electric and internal combustion engine vehicles.
