Škoda Unveils 'Peaq' as Name for New All-Electric 7-Seater Flagship
Czech automaker Škoda has officially named its upcoming all-electric seven-seater SUV the 'Peaq,' emphasizing the vehicle's position as the brand's flagship model set for a summer 2026 world premiere.
Škoda Auto has announced that its highly anticipated all-electric seven-seater flagship will be called the Peaq, marking a significant milestone in the Czech manufacturer's electric vehicle strategy.
The name reflects the vehicle's position at the summit of Škoda's model lineup, with the automaker describing it as a "clear statement" about where the model belongs in its portfolio.
Martin Jahn, Škoda Auto's Board Member for Sales and Marketing, explained the significance of the naming decision. The Peaq represents the realization of the brand's Vision 7S concept, which was first introduced in spring 2022 alongside Škoda's Modern Solid design language.
The Vision 7S concept showcased the brand's future direction, emphasizing sustainability, functional design, and advanced technology. The production version maintains this vision while focusing on Škoda's core brand values of spaciousness, practicality, and comfort.
Designed with modern families and everyday explorers in mind, the Peaq offers seven seats and incorporates the brand's signature Simply Clever features. The vehicle aims to appeal to customers seeking to combine work, leisure, and travel freedom in a single package.
The Peaq represents another step in Škoda's electric model expansion strategy. The automaker currently offers 12 passenger car model ranges globally and delivered more than 926,000 vehicles to customers worldwide in 2024.
As part of the Volkswagen Group's Brand Group CORE, Škoda is working toward becoming one of the top three best-selling brands in Europe by the end of the decade through a diverse portfolio of battery electric, hybrid, and internal combustion engine vehicles.
The world premiere of the Škoda Peaq is scheduled for summer 2026, with further details about specifications, pricing, and availability to be announced closer to the launch date.
