Škoda Unveils New RS Models in Kodiaq and Octavia Range

Škoda Auto has unveiled the latest additions to its performance lineup: the all-new Kodiaq RS and the updated Octavia RS. Both models represent a significant power upgrade, featuring a new 2.0 TSI engine that produces 195 kW (265 hp), making them the most powerful versions in their respective histories.

The new RS models showcase Škoda's commitment to blending performance with practicality. Standard equipment has been expanded to include advanced features such as LED matrix beam headlights, animated LED rear turn indicators, and the KESSY Advanced keyless entry system.

"Škoda's popular RS models ignite customer passion by delivering exhilarating performance." said Klaus Zellmer, Škoda Auto CEO, emphasising how the RS lineup has evolved from the original Octavia RS to include SUVs and electric vehicles, with the Kodiaq RS and Enyaq RS models joining the family.

Aesthetically, both vehicles feature distinctive design elements that set them apart from their standard counterparts. Glossy black accents adorn various body parts, while aerodynamic improvements include redesigned front and rear bumpers with integrated spoilers and diffusers. The Kodiaq RS rolls on 20-inch alloy wheels, while the Octavia RS features 19-inch options, both designed specifically for improved aerodynamics and marked by red brake calipers.

Inside, the RS models maintain their sporting heritage with black-dominated interiors featuring red contrast stitching. The specially developed front sports seats include integrated headrests for improved support during dynamic driving. Both the infotainment system and Virtual Cockpit display RS-specific graphics.

Performance enhancements extend beyond the powerful engine. Both models come equipped with variable-ratio progressive steering, while the Octavia RS benefits from a lowered sports suspension setup for improved handling characteristics.

The RS badge, which stands for "Rally Sport," has been a symbol of Škoda's performance vehicles for approximately 50 years, beginning with their racing program and extending to road cars in 2000. The launch of these new models continues this legacy while incorporating modern technology and comfort features.
