Yamaha India donates Rs 25 lakh to UP CM's distress relief fund

The company had earlier announced a donation of Rs 61.5 lakh.

Senior Management members from Yamaha Motor India Group (YMIG) handed over a cheque of Rs 25 lakhs to Suhas Lalinakere Yathiraj, District Magistrate, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh to support the government in its efforts to control the spread of Covid-19 in the state. 

The amount of Rs 25 lakh has been donated towards the Chief Minister Distress Relief Fund Government of Uttar Pradesh.

The Company had earlier announced on May 9, 2020 that its permanent employees which includes both the white collar and blue collar employees as well as some trainees based at the three plants (Kanchipuram, Surajpur, & Faridabad), Corporate Office in Chennai and area Offices across India donated a total of Rs 61.5 lakh to support the government in fighting this pandemic. 

Out of the total donation of Rs 61.5 lakh, Rs 25 lakh each has been donated to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund, Uttar Pradesh and Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund, Tamilnadu as well as the remaining amount of Rs 11.5 lakh has been donated to the PM Cares Fund.
