Swedish luxury car maker Volvo Car India opened a new dealership in Chennai under the ownership of Prakar Automotive (Volvo Tamil Nadu). The strategic move is in line with the carmaker’s retail plan to target markets in South India which have aspirational customers. The new dealership was inaugurated by Charles Frump, Managing Director, Volvo Car India.
The showroom at Anna Salai Road and workshop at TVK Industrial Estate incorporate state-of-the-art facilities and are designed as Volvo Retail Experience (VRE) concept. The showroom and workshop facility cover 7000 square feet and 10,000 square feet.
Speaking at the inauguration, Charles Frump said, “Chennai is a very important market in India as it is among the fastest growing metro cities and a home to aspiring and affluent families.
