Volvo Car India opens its biggest workshop in Bengaluru

The facility has a total land area of 90,000 square feet with 15000 square feet of constructed space accounting for workshop area of 11,000 square feet and office area of 2000 square feet.

A subsidiary of the Sweden-based luxury car company, Volvo Cars, Volvo Car India opened its biggest workshop in India at the urban district of Sarjapur in Bengaluru. 

The Sarjapur facility was inaugurated by  Charles Frump, managing director - Volvo Car India. With 21 showrooms across India and with a recently expanded footprint in Calicut and Raipur, the company is emphasising on its network as an enabler to double its market share by 2020.

The Volvo Cars’ service centre by Martial Motors has come up in Sarjapur, an urban district with good connectivity to key IT cluster geographies like Whitefield, Electronic City, Outer Ring Road, Marathahalli and Koramangala. The facility has a total land area of 90,000 square feet with 15,000 square feet of constructed space accounting for workshop area of 11,000 square feet and office area of 2,000 square feet. The body repair and other utilities too have a 2,000 square feet of dedicated area.

Charles Frump said, “The new service facility by Martial Motors is a reflection of Bengaluru’s potential for Volvo Cars. Service is our key differentiator and setting up World-Class facilities like the one we opened today is a step in the right direction and gives us the opportunity to provide a luxurious customer experience.”

Swedish luxury car company Volvo established its presence in India in 2007 and its line up currently includes, S60 and S90 (sedans), V40, V90 and S60 (cross country), XC60, XC90 and XC90 T8 excellence and V40 (hatchback).
