Volkswagen to reveal 4 new SUVs at Auto Expo 2020
Starting from February, Volkswagen is set to showcase its first EV based on the MEB platform and world premiere A0 SUV.
Volkswagen today announced its aggressive plan for India, with the reveal of four new SUVs at Auto Expo 2020 next month. The new SUVs are planned to be launched in India within the next two years.
Volkswagen India has confirmed the world premiere of its Hyundai Creta-rivaling A0 SUV to take place early next month. The company will also showcase this SUV at the Auto Expo 2020 that starts from February 5 in New Delhi.
At the Auto Expo, the Volkswagen A0 SUV will join three more new products from the brand that include the Volkswagen T-ROC, the Tiguan AllSpace and the Volkswagen ID Crozz electric SUV that will come to India as well.
The company says that with increasing consumer preferences for SUVs, the Volkswagen brand plans to heavily focus on introducing its global line-up of SUV portfolio for the Indian market.
According to Steffen Knapp, director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India: “We understand the rapidly changing preferences of our Indian consumers and in line to the same, we will introduce one of our biggest SUV offensive portfolio for the Indian shores. Always keeping safety at the forefront, the upcoming carlines will redefine their respective segments, addressing the needs of our discerning Indian consumers. In India, we received tremendous response for our current SUV Volkswagen Tiguan and with our planned portfolio we expect to define it further.”
Starting this February, India will witness the first showcase of its electric vehicle based on the MEB platform along with the world premiere of the A0 SUV from Brand Volkswagen under the Volkswagen Group’s India 2.0 project.
