UiPath’s Raghunath Subramanian joins Simple Energy as board member

Bangalore-based EV start-up Simple Energy has announced the appointment of Raghunath Subramanian is its newest board member.

Subramanian is also the Board Member and non-executive chairman of UiPath India and was part of the founding management member of the company and has served as the president and CEO as well.

In his role in Simple Energy as the board member and an investor, Subramanian will provide his expertise in the strategic decision process of the company.

Speaking on this announcement, Suhas Rajkumar, founder, and CEO, Simple Energy said, “Addition to the Board is imperative at this hour as we are in the crucial phase before the launch. Board members like Raghunath will certainly help in scaling up the company’s operations with the amount of expertise and the experience they carry. Raghunath has also invested an undisclosed amount along with joining as a Board Member. It is great pleasure to know the trust and confidence accomplished business leaders like Raghu have in Simple Energy. We cordially welcome him on board.”

Simple Energy is set to launch its first flagship electric scooter on August 15, this year and is also in talks to raise an amount of $15 million (Rs 111 crore) in Series A.
