TVS Radeon rides past 100,000 sales within 7 months

Chennai-based TVS Motor Company's 110cc commuter motorcycle, the Radeon, has crossed the 100,000 sales milestone in the domestic market, seven months after launch.

Launched in August 2018, the Radeon expanded TVS Motors' commuter portfolio range to four products, which includes the Victor, Star City Plus and the Sport. The company had invested around Rs 60 crore on the new platform on which the TVS Radeon is based. TVS had targeted selling 200,000 units in the first 12 months of the launch, and the OEM now has already surpassed the 100,000 sales in seven months.

Commenting on the milestone,  Aniruddha Haldar, vice-president, Marketing - Commuter Motorcycles, Scooters & Corporate Brand, TVS Motor Company, said, “TVS Radeon has been developed based on extensive customer understanding, which is deeply embedded in the motorcycle’s usage-led design.  Over the past months, TVS Radeon has witnessed tremendous response from customers as well as received critical acclaim and multiple awards.”

The company says the commuter motorcycle offers a sturdy and reliable experience with a solid body, which is complemented by a strong steel tubular chassis.
