From February 2018 till August 2019, NTorq has sold 345,193 units in India; new NTorq 125 Race Edition just launched at Rs 62,995..

TVS Motor Co is looking to up the ante in the 125cc scooter market, this even as its NTorq 125 has notched its best-ever monthly sales numbers in August 2019.

Since its launch in February 2018 till end-August 2019, the NTorq has sold a total of 345,193 units in the domestic market (as under):

FY2019: 213,039
FY2020: 112,345 (April-August 2019)
Total: 345,193

In August 2019, and in depressed market conditions, the NTorq has sold a total of 25,578 units – its best-ever monthly numbers. Targeted at millennials, the snazzy scooter is powered by a CVTi-REVV 124.79cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 3-valve, air-cooled SOHC engine that develops 9.4ps at 7500rpm and 10.5 Nm at 5500rpm.

NTorq 125 Race Edition checks in
Now, in an effort to further rev up sales, TVS Motor Company today launched the TVS NTorq 125 Race Edition, priced at Rs 62,995 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company will be opening pre-booking online for the scooter in select cities.

The TVS NTorq, which is a Bluetooth-connected scooter, is paired to the TVS Connect app and the race edition users can access a special race-inspired User Interface. 

The Race Edition, which comes with signature LED DRLs and LED headlamp, also has a hazard lamp enabled by a red-coloured hazard switch. The scooter comes in a three-tone combination of matte black, metallic black and metallic red colour.
