TVS Motor reports zero domestic sales in April, exports 9,640 two- and three-wheelers
The OEM says it is committed to stand united with the government and the people in their sustained efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic.
Chennai-headquartered, TVS Motor Company reported zero sales in the domestic market in April but exports offered meagre repreive.
TVS Motor says that since March 23, its plants have been closed in compliance with the government of India guidelines. But following the resumption of operations at Chennai Port, 8,134 units of two-wheelers, and 1,506 three-wheelers were shipped utilising the stocks from March 2020 while ensuring utmost safety.
The OEM says it is committed to stand united with the government and the people in their sustained efforts to overcome the Covid-19 pandemic. It is now gearing up to restart operations as per state guidelines and is taking measures to safeguard the health of the employees.
TVS Motor is optimistic about the potential demand for two-wheelers after the lockdown lifts with greater thrust towards personal mobility.
