TVS Motor invests additional Rs 30 crore in Ultraviolette Automotive

The investment is part of the Ultraviolette Automtoive’s Series B funding.

Chennai-headquartered TVS Motor Company has made an additional investment of Rs 30 crore in electric vehicle startup Ultraviolette Automotive (UV), as part of its Series B round of funding.

The startup says to accelerate the adoption of EVs in India it is set-out to build India’s first high-performance electric motorcycle – the F77, three years ago. The pre-production version of the F77 was unveiled in November 2019 and is now gearing up towards the launch of the motorcycle in the market.

Commenting on the additional investment, Manu Saxena, VP – Future Mobility and Dealer Transformation, TVS Motor Company said, “Ultraviolette Automotive continues to demonstrate excellent engineering and technological capabilities and innovativeness in developing high-performance electric motorcycle.
