Triumph Motorcycles India today inaugurated One Triumph Gurugram, its 15th retail store in the country and the second one in Delhi-NCR, located at Hamilton Road in Gurgaon.

The company, which has sold over 4,700 motorcycles in India since its product launch in 2013, has seen aggressive growth in an otherwise slowing premium motorcycle segment. Triumph Motorcycles India’s sales rose 27 percent between Q2 and Q3 of FY2018; it claims it has a 17 percent market share in the 500cc and above category between July-November 2017, on account of strong performance from some of its well established brands in the litre-class segment, including the likes of the Bonneville, Tiger ADV tourer range and the Speed Triple series.

The new outlet will cater to the growing cult of motorcycling in the IT town and according to Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India (pictured above), “The opening of the Gurgaon dealership will further strengthen the Triumph marquee in the northern part of the country and will be an experiential zone for enthusiasts to muster and share the joy of riding.”

Apart from showcasing its range of motorcycles on offer, the new outlet will also see exclusive brand merchandise adorning the store shelves to intrigue Triumph's customers.

The multi-storey outlet features a service centre in its basement and also houses a cafeteria on the top floor, which will act as a networking place for riding enthusiasts in the city.

Triumph also plans to open two more stores, one each in Goa and Mangalore by the end of this fiscal and take its total tally to 17 outlets. The company has also initiated a mobile dealership program to expand its brand reach into the lower set Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns.

The company’s mobile platform, which commenced in October 2017, has so far completed its journey across the northern belt of the country including cities like Ludhiana, Patiala and Jalandhar. It is now slated to tour other regions and offer test rides along with the option of booking the motorcycle from the outlet itself if a customer shows interest.

In the April-November 2017 period, Triumph has sold a total of 831 motorcycles, which marks 1.22 percent year-on-year growth.
