Toyota launches petrol-engined Innova in India
Prices for the petrol Innova start at Rs 13.72 lakh for the base GX 7-seater manual variant and go up to Rs 19.62 lakh for the top-spec Z automatic trim.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), which has been adversely impacted by the ongoing diesel ban in the Delhi-NCR region, has launched the petrol-powered Innova in India.
Prices for the petrol Innova start at Rs 13.72 lakh for the base GX 7-seater manual variant and go up to Rs 19.62 lakh for the top-spec Z automatic trim. The carmaker had begun taking bookings for the Innova Crysta Petrol a few weeks ago.

The engine powering the India-spec Innova Crysta petrol is a 2.7-litre, four-cylinder unit that develops 166hp of power and 245nm of torque. The 2.7-litre unit (Codename 2TR-FE) is the same engine that powered the previous-generation Innova petrol in some international markets like the Middle East. However, for the Innova Crysta, the motor has been upgraded with Dual-VVTi and is slightly more powerful compared to the earlier output of 158hp.
Commenting on the new model, Akito Tachibana, managing director of Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said, “The Innova is an iconic brand and has long established itself as the number 1 MPV in the Indian market. We are confident that the new petrol variant of the Innova Crysta further reiterates Toyota’s commitment to the Indian market and will add to customer delight.”
N Raja, director and senior vice-president (Sales & Marketing), Toyota Kirloskar Motor, added, “The recently launched Innova Crysta has received an overwhelming response from the market. We have already sold more than 24,000 units in a short span of two months and have a pending order of over 9,000 units.”
