Tata Motors rolls out 100,000th Altroz within 20 months of launch
Game-changing premium hatchback, which aced the Global NCAP crash test with 5-star rating, gives Tata a PV market share boost
Tata Motors has today produced its 100,000 Altroz from the manufacturing facility in Pune, 20 months after production of the premium hatchback began. The Altroz was launched on January 22, 2020 at Rs 529,000. A few days before it was launched, the Altroz had aced the Global NCAP crash test with a five-star rating
The first vehicle to make use of the ALFA (Agile Light Flexible Advanced) architecture, the Altroz currently has the No. 2 position in the premium hatchback category, with a market share of more than 20 percent.

The Altroz comes in six variants with 1.2L Revotron Petrol, 1.2L i-Turbo Petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. It is also available in the Dark Range and offers a host of premium features across all variants such as iRA connected car technology, touchscreen infotainment, Leatherette seats, 7-inch TFT digital cluster, R16 diamond cut alloy wheels and cruise control among others.
Tata Motors, in the April-June 2021 period, had a 5.68% passenger vehicle market share, up from 2.64% a year ago.
