Mumbai-headquartered auto major Tata Motors has partnered the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH), to deploy Tigor electric vehicles in Delhi, as a part of its tender with the state-run Energy Efficiency Services (EESL).

As part of the understanding the first batch of Tigor EVs was handed over to P N Ranjit Kumar, joint secretary (Admin), Ministry of AYUSH by Raj Kumar Luthra, general manager, EESL.

Tata Motors has been looking to play a big role in the mass-market electric passenger vehicle segment in both fleet (Tigor EV with a range of 140km and 213km) and personal offering (Nexon EV, with a range of 312 km). In Q1 FY2021, the company claims to have a market share of 62 percent in the nascent electric passenger vehicle segment.
