Tata Motors appoints Ravindra Kumar GP as HR head
Ravindra, who will oversee all human resource operations for Tata Motors, will report to CEO Guenter Butschek and will be a member of the executive committee.
Tata Motors today announced the appointment of Ravindra Kumar GP as the president and chief human resources officer, Tata Motors. He replaces Gajendra Chandel, who called it a day at the company recently, after a 15-year stint.
Ravindra will oversee all human resource operations for Tata Motors, effective December 17, 2018. He will report to Guenter Butschek, CEO, Tata Motors and will be a member of the executive committee.
Commenting on the announcement, Guenter Butschek, CEO and MD, Tata Motors, said, “We are happy to welcome Ravindra to the Tata Motors Family. Ravindra’s vast experience at GE and Asian Paints will further strengthen our resolve towards building an employee-focused organization. An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Ravindra has rich global experience of over 20 years. In his most recent role, Ravindra Kumar was CHRO, GE, South Asia and prior to GE, he worked with Asian Paints where he began his career in 1998.
