Suzuki Motorcycle India sells 73,658 units in September 2019, up 2.11%
Powered by the success of the Access and the Burgman, Suzuki Motorcycle India sees a growth of 2.11 YoY in its total sales in the month of September.
Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMIPL), a subsidiary of two-wheeler manufacturer, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, claims to have clocked its highest-ever monthly domestic sale of 63,382 units during the month of September 2019 as compared to 63,140 units sold in September 2018. This is also a considerable growth over the August 2019 figures which were 62,752 units.
Overall, SMIPL registers a Y-O-Y growth of 2.11 percent with 73,658 units (Domestic + Exports) as compared to 72,134 units in the same period last year. As compared to the August 2019 figures, this was a growth of 2.8 percent. The company posted a cumulative sale of 419,676 units for April – September 2019 period which was 371,109 units for the corresponding period last year, marking a 13.08 percent growth.
In the month of August 2019, of the 62,752 units that it sold in the domestic market, SMIPL sold 48,646 units of the Access, 9,188 units of the Burgman and 4,525 units of the Gixxer. Combining the domestic and export figures, it sold a total of 71,631 units in the previous month.
