The Access 125 has been a key growth driver for Suzuki in India, riding on surging demand for premium scooters.

In a marked different to most OEMs, Suzuki Motorcycle India  has registered growth in June 2019. The motorcycle and scooter manufacturer has reported a 22 percent year-on-year increase with sales of 57,023 units compared to 46,717 units in June 2018. The month saw the regional launch of the Suzuki Gixxer SF series across India.

Cumulatively, the company recorded 205,073 unit sales at the end of the first quarter (April-June 2019) of FY2020 as against 170,103 units in Q1 FY2019, a growth of 21 percent.

Commenting on the company's sales numbers,  Devashish Handa, vice-president, Suzuki Motorcycle India, said, “Despite a challenging time for the automobile industry, Suzuki Motorcycle India has registered a strong sales performance in the first quarter by clocking double-digit growth. We acknowledge it with deep gratitude, the confidence that the Indian two-wheeler buyer has reposed in us. A large share of this creditable performance also goes to our dealer network, which has been extending ‘best in class’ service to our esteemed customers.”
