Skoda opens two new workshops in Mumbai, to double service network by 2023

Under its ‘India 2.0’ project, Skoda Auto India plans to double its service network and expand to 50 new cities, over the next three years

Skoda opens two new workshops in Mumbai, to double service network by 2023

Skoda Auto India has unveiled two state-of-the-art workshop facilities today in Maharashtra, in association with Mody Skoda, at Mahalaxmi and Kurla respectively, catering to customers in Mumbai.

With the inaugurations, Skoda Auto India, which recently unveiled its Kushaq SUV ahead of hte world premiere in March, aims to strengthen its customer service delivery in Mumbai as part of its campaign of establishing a strong foothold in the western region. These two new outlets sport the new corporate Identity and design as a part of Skoda’s global redesigning process. The Czech auto manufacturer, under the purview of the ‘India 2.0’ project, will have at least twice as many sales and service touch-points, as it does today, by 2022.

One of the new workshop facilities is strategically located at Mahalaxmi Bridge, Dr E. Moses Road, Mumbai, Maharashtra and covers 15,850 square feet. The workspace, equipped with 12 bays, has a capacity to service 4,600 Skoda vehicles per annum and has over 40 dedicated aftersales personnel.

The second workshop at 326, Mathuradas Vasanji Road, Bail Bazaar, Kurla West, Mumbai, Maharashtra covers 21,000 sq. ft. The workspace, equipped with 25 bays, has a capacity to serve 7,400 vehicles per annum, with more than 60 dedicated aftersales personnel.
