Shradha Suri appointed chairperson and MD of Subros
Board of Directors approves Ms Suri's appointment following the demise of Subros chairman Ramesh Suri.
Subros Ltd, the leading company in the design and manufacture of thermal products for passenger cars and commercial vehicles in India, has appointed Shraddha Suri as Chairperson and Managing Director. Her appointment follows the demise of the Chairman and promoter of the company since inception – industry doyen Ramesh Suri on May 12.
Subros is a joint venture between the Suri Group, Denso Corporation of Japan and Suzuki Motor Corporation. It is the largest automotive air-conditioning systems company in India.
Ms Suri, who is currently MD of the company, has over 21 years of experience in the automotive industry and has played a key role in driving growth strategies. She has held a number of prestigious posts in the industry and currently is on ACMA’s Executive Committee as the chairperson of the ACMA Northern region. She is also a member of the CII Manufacturing Council and part of CII’s Northern Regional Council.
After graduating in Economics Honours from the University of Delhi, Ms Suri obtained a Masters in Management from The University of Leeds, and a M.Sc in Economics and Information Systems from The London School of Economics & Political Science.
In a statement, Ms. Shradha Suri said: "I am deeply saddened with an irreparable loss by the passing on of my father. Over the decades of dedication to his work, his visionary purpose seeped through to create the core of Subros. His presence will be missed; his absence makes us more aware and focused to always be present to his Vision for Subros. It is a responsibility that I accept with humility and with a deep resolve to continue the path set by our late Chairman. I shall further strengthen and build market leadership across all business segments of Subros, with the support of our joint venture partners Denso Corporation, Japan; Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan and all our stakeholders and customers. Most of all, I take on the mantle to manage and guide the dedicated team at Subros to continue our shared aspiration to build an exemplary enterprise."
