Schaeffler India launches user-friendly app for garages and retailers

Schaeffler India's Aftermarket division has announced the launch of Parts4U application, which has been specifically developed for mechanics and retailers to get access to vehicle parts, training sessions and repair solutions.

According to the company, the Parts4U app is compatible with iOS and Android, and has been developed keeping in mind the challenges faced at the garages by the mechanics and retailers.

Schaeffler India says that with repair work becoming extensive, it requires an understanding of entire vehicle systems. With growing use of smartphones, the company is optimistic that the app will find its way on every mechanic’s mobile phone who want to leverage technology.

Speaking about the application, Debasish Satpathy, vice-president and head, Automotive Aftermarket, Schaeffler India, said, “We are very excited to unveil this unique app for the people within the Schaeffler universe. They can easily interact with us through this simple and easy-to-use interface that every partner, whether in the metros, Tier II or Tier III cities, can use without any hindrances. The app intends to provide our mechanics and retailers with a one-stop knowledge hub about vehicle parts, training sessions and repair solutions. We are hopeful that they will make the most of it.”

The company says often finding the right parts for vehicles during a repair job is the most challenging part, as most of the mechanics don’t have access to the right information. It can take them weeks or even months to find the exact part, not to mention, countless hours of learning to understand the fitment and applications.

With so much competition and need for fast-paced repair solutions, the best way to help these garages and retailers is to offer assistance in terms of information, updates and repairs. Schaeffler India says the mechanics can find the right fitment for their vehicles, and increase delivery efficiency hence accelerating growth in business growth.

All app users can get information about the parts and repair solutions on the go, with the ability to search, access and download all product and its application details instantly.

The company says since it has designed the app, it will give users a chance to explore the entire range of Schaeffler products including the latest entrants in the market. Furthermore, having this kind of exclusive access can give many mechanics and retailers a first-mover advantage wherein they can buy the latest Schaeffler products.

Training is another aspect that most mechanics do not undertake due to the workload or lack of accessibility to effective training solutions. With Parts4U, users get access to video tutorials, specifications, service information, function tests and failure diagnosis documents.

The app contains information for all vehicle variants – light or heavy commercial vehicles, trucks or trackers to passenger cars. Once the mechanic is able to find the right part, he can also get access to other relevant product details like MRP, product fitment videos and technical documents to make the repair or replacement smooth and efficient.

In case of any queries or doubts, users also have the ability to contact Schaeffler employees and distributors as information for regional associates is available on the app. Apart from this, users also get access to the latest news, segment-wise price list, brochures, NPR list, videos and more on Parts4U. Moving forward, Schaeffler aspires to reach out to all the garages, retailers, mechanics and servicemen who work with vehicles for their efficient road journeys.
