Renault expands sales network, opens new outlet in Jaipur

Renault India has opened its second sales outlet in Jaipur at Gopalpura Bye Pass.

Renault India has opened its second sales outlet in Jaipur at Gopalpura Bye Pass. The dealership – Renault Jaipur West is spread across 10,600 square feet on 2 levels and can display eight cars. With this facility, the carmaker now has dealerships in South and West Jaipur, including two service and spare parts facilities in the city.

Over the past three years, the company has expanded its sales network to 125 dealers across the country and is targeting 175 dealer touch-points by end-2014. This goal will see its expand its footprint in Central India including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Madhya Pradesh with seven new dealers in Kota, Roorkee, Rudrapur, Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Aligarh, Mathura and Jhansi, bringing the total number of outlets to 25 by the end of the year.

Speaking at the inauguration, Sumit Sawhney, country CEO and MD for Renault in India, said, “Network reach is vital in ensuring Renault’s increasing visibility across the country and Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand have all played key roles in Renault’s success so far.”

Renault India currently sells offers five models in India – the Fluence and Scala sedans, the Duster and Koleos SUVs, and the Pulse hatchback. In 2013-14, it sold a total of 57,368 units, posting a growth of 9.35 percent year on year.
