Ratan Tata conferred MMA Amalgamations Business Leadership Award 2014
Ratan Tata, chairman-emeritus, Tata Sons Ltd, has been conferred the 18th MMA Amalgamations Business Leadership Award
Ratan Tata, chairman-emeritus, Tata Sons Ltd, has been conferred the 18th MMA Amalgamations Business Leadership Award in recognition of his ability to foresee economic trends, manage change, take bold initiatives, sustain values and make an outstanding contribution to business, industry and society.
A selection committee comprising Ms Naina Lal Kidwai, Country Head, HSBC Bank India, S Ramadorai, vice-chairman, Tata Consultancy Services and R Seshasayee, executive vice-chairman, Hinduja Group India, and headed by Sunil B Mittal, chairman and Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises, unanimously selected Mr Tata for the award.
The award was instituted in 1969 in memory of S Anantharamakrishnan, founder and past president of the Madras Management Association. An illustrious leader and a great visionary, Mr Anantharamakrishnan was the founder of the Amalgamations Group, one of India’s leading engineering groups.
