Premium Transmission opens first service centre in Pune

The centre will focus on repairs and overhauling of all types of gear boxes, geared motors and fluid couplings.

Pune-based, Premium Transmission provides precision-engineered power transmission solutions and products to the global engineering industry. The company has four manufacturing facilities in India and one in Germany under the name Premium Stephan. The company manufactures industrial gearboxes, geared motors and fluid coupling segment. As part of its bid to be closer to customers across segments, it has opened the company's first service centre in Pune.

The company plans to provide a one stop solution to all its customers through the service centre, which it says will focus on repairs and overhauling. The centre has been established with a significant investment and will provide high level of expertise to its customers, which the company says will translate to improved service efficiency and also unfold immense potential in the region.

The facility will contribute to the existing spares sales of the company, in addition to being an important source of revenue generation. Premium Transmission, which registered revenue of over Rs 400 crore from domestic operations is targeting to generate an additional Rs 100 crore by FY 2023-24 through spares and services.

Neeraj Bisaria, MD and CEO, Premium Transmission said, “Customer delight is what drives us at Premium Transmission and we have always believed it to be of paramount importance. This is yet another step in fulfilling that commitment. The centre will help us engage and improve customer responsiveness and augment customer loyalty. This is our first service centre in the country. Our constant endeavour has been to deliver service excellence and be a preferred partner for leading Indian and international brands. To cater to the domestic market, we also plan to expand our service centre network to other cities. The pipeline includes locations like Bhubaneshwar and Coimbatore by the end of FY 2019-20.”

In terms of expansion, along with India, Premium Transmission is also focusing on strengthening its global footprint with an aim to establish a centre in Europe in FY 2019-20. The company is exploring service centres in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Kenya as well to serve the international market more effectively and efficiently.
