Omnex introduces new automotive standards IATF 16949: 2016
IATF 16949:2016 is an upgraded version of ISO/TS 16949:2009, which is one of the most popular international standards in the automotive industry by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF)
The Michigan-headquartered Omnex, an international consulting, training and software development organisation, has launched its IATF 16949:2016 consulting, training and software services in India.
IATF 16949:2016 is an upgraded version of ISO/TS 16949:2009, which is one of the most popular international standards in the automotive industry by the International Automotive Task Force (IATF).The 2009 version of the standard has over 60,000 companies certified to it around the world.
In October 2016, IATF 16949:2016 will be published by IATF and will supersede and replace the current ISO/TS 16949, defining the requirements of a quality management system for organisations in the automotive industry. IATF 16949:2016 will fully respect ISO 9001:2015 structure and requirements and implemented as a supplement to, and in conjunction with, ISO 9001:2015.
Commenting on the launch, Chad Kymal, CTO and founder of Omnex Inc, said, “This is yet another milestone for Omnex that brings in leading edge training and consulting for our clients from the automotive sector. Omnex plans to launch IATF 16949:2016 training workshops and implementation services in several cities and countries with immediate effect, followed by the IATF 16949:2016 formal release in October.
