Nissan Motor India has reported domestic market wholesales of 2,400 units in November 2022, down 9.46% on year-ago sales (November 2021: 2,651 units). Cumulative numbers for the April-November 2022 period are 23,344 units, which is down 6.45% YoY (April-November 2021: 24,955 units).

Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, commented, “Booking fulfilments have continued into November after the festive season, indicating that demand is benefiting from several positive indicators, such as improvement in economic activities and confident consumer sentiments. Going ahead, stable demand from Tier-I and Tier-II cities is expected.”

Nissan Motor India’s best-selling product is the Magnite which, since its launch in December 2020, has sold 63,356 units till end-October 2022 comprising 9,569 units in FY2021, 33,905 units in FY2022 and 19,882 units in the first eight months of FY2023. 

In July 2022, in an effort to rev up demand, the company launched the Magnite Red Edition at Rs 786,000.
