Nissan has strengthened its presence in Maharashtra with the inauguration of Shakti Nissan and Royce Nissan, its two new retail outlets at Chembur and Kandivali, Mumbai. The dealerships were opened by Arun Malhotra, managing director, Nissan Motor India. Nissan now has a network of 215 touch-points across 165 cities.

By end-March 2017, the carmaker plans to have a total of 300 sales and service touch- points. In the last few months, Nissan has increased its network in the state of Maharashtra to 34 sales and service outlets.

Commenting on the latest dealerships, Arun Malhotra said, “I am delighted to inaugurate these two new dealerships in Mumbai. Adding them to the Nissan network in Mumbai marks Nissan’s three dealership openings in Mumbai in the last six months. We continue to expand our reach and provide our customers with best-in-class products and services together with our dealer partners.

“Nissan’s strategy for continued and significant growth in India is underpinned by our commitment to providing customers with a superior ownership experience. This is backed by our continuous expansion of dealership outlets nationwide towards our target of setting up 300 outlets across the country by the end of March 2017,” added Malhotra.

Along with expanding its dealer footprint in the country, the carmaker has also increased its focus on improving customer experience when visiting dealers. The brand was ranked third in the 2015 JD Power Asia Pacific India Sales Satisfaction Index study.
