Nissan opens its 200th dealership in India at Mumbai
The new showroom under the dealership of Ritu Nissan accommodates the entire range of Nissan and Datsun cars, and has an in-house service centre as well.
With a strong focus on expanding its footprint in India, Japanese carmaker Nissan opened its 200th retail outlet in the country at the heart of suburban Mumbai in Andheri today. The new showroom under the dealership of Ritu Nissan accommodates the entire range of Nissan and Datsun cars, and has an in-house service centre as well.
Speaking on the occasion, Nissan India’s managing director Arun Malhotra said that improving the company’s reach and customer satisfaction is its top priority, and that providing quality service and product support through new dealerships is the key for long term success.
“At Nissan India, we are proud to reach this significant milestone in such a short period of time. Establishing 200 outlets in the span of just five years not only makes our network one of the fastest growing in India, but puts us well on track to achieve our target of setting up 300 dealerships across the country by the end of fiscal year 2016-17. This expansion further strengthens Nissan’s commitment to its customers by bringing its world class products closer to its ever-increasing consumer base,” he added.
This dealership is the fourth in Mumbai with three other outlets in Thane, Bhiwandi and Bhandup. In the last two months, Nissan has also opened showrooms in Trichy, Tirupati, Sikar and Nashik.
In line with the strategy of expansion, Nissan will open the next dealership – its 201st – in Srinagar on September 23. The company also plans to roll out a host of new products like the facelift X-trail SUV and the RediGo hatchback under the Datsun brand, which could be unveiled in the coming months.
