New Kia Sonet gets 6,523 bookings on first day

Carmaker nets record pre-bookings on August 20, ahead of the launch of the compact SUV in mid-September.

New Kia Sonet gets 6,523 bookings on first day

The Kia Sonet, Kia Motors India’s third product after the Seltos and the Carnival,is off to a strong start. Following the opening of bookings on August 20, the Korean carmaker has reported receiving a record 6,523 bookings on the very first day.

Prospective customers can book the car online at the official website www.kia.com/in and through the company’s countrywide dealership network by paying an initial booking amount of Rs 25,000. Prices of the Kia Sonet will be announced at its official launch in mid-September

Commenting on the first day’s bookings, Kookhyun Shim, MD and CEO, Kia Motors India said, “The tremendous response to the all-new Sonet proves that there is never a bad time to launch a good product.
