Motherson Sumi Systems records Rs 41,985 crore revenue for FY2017

While revenues in India and profit after tax both grew by 20 percent, overseas numbers are up by 14 percent.

Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL), the largest automotive component supplier in India, has reported its highest ever quarterly revenue of Rs 11,100 crore (+15%) and its highest-ever net quarterly profit of Rs 475 crore (+12%), for Q4 2017.

MSSL registered revenues of Rs 41,985 crore with (EBITDA of Rs 4,285 crore) for FY2017, an increase of 15% from Rs 36,580 crore with (EBITDA of Rs 3,548) crore in FY16. The company’s PBT grew by 39% to Rs 2,997 crore in 2017 from Rs 2,155 crore in 2016.

Other highlights for FY2017 are that the company’s revenues in India grew by 20% and PAT up by 20% (up 28% without writing off the exceptional cost of the recent PKC Acquisition) with EBITDA up by 21%. Overseas revenues grew at 14%. The company received new orders worth Rs 29,425 crore (Euro 4.0 billion) during FY2017 and execution of orders worth Rs 33,765 crore (Euro 4.6 billion) started during the fiscal. 

MSSL had recorded its highest earnings in Q3 2016-17 with Rs 10,514 crore an increase of 13%, and its best ever quarterly net profit of Rs 416 crore.
