M&M’s UV sales up 65 percent in March

The company announced that its overall auto sales for March 2022 stood at 54643 vehicles.

In the UV segment, Mahindra sold 27380 utility vehicles in March 2022 as against 16643 units in the year-earlier month, and increase of 65 percent. The Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 27603 vehicles in March 2022. The company’s export tally was 3160 vehicles.

For the fiscal as a whole, UV sales were up 44 percent to 243,682 units as against 155530 units in the previous fiscal.

In the CV segment, Mahindra sold 19837 vehicles in March 2022 with growth of 16 percent. All the Light Commercial Vehicle segments of under 2 tonnes, pickups (2T to 3.5T), and under 3.5 tonnes and the heavy commercial vehicles continued their growth trajectory in March 2022, the company said in a statement.

According to Veejay Nakra, Chief Executive Officer, Automotive Division, M&M, “We continued our growth trajectory in March 2022 with overall sales of 54643 vehicles, a growth of 35 percent. Demand continues to be strong, even as we remain watchful of the global supply chain and take appropriate action, as required. We are delighted with the success of XUV700, as it continues its winning streak, becoming the most awarded ‘Car of the Year’ in 2022.”
