Minda Stoneridge and Minda Corp bag quality awards from Bajaj Auto

The Pune manufacturing plant of Minda Stoneridge Instruments, a joint venture between the Ashok Minda Group and Stoneridge Inc of USA, has received the BAL TPM Excellence Award from Bajaj Auto.

Minda Stoneridge and Minda Corp bag quality awards from Bajaj Auto

The Pune manufacturing plant of Minda Stoneridge Instruments, a joint venture between the Ashok Minda Group and Stoneridge Inc of USA, has received the BAL TPM Excellence Award from Bajaj Auto.

The award was given at a vendor meet held in Pune last month by Rajiv Bajaj, managing director, Bajaj Auto, and Pradeep Srivastava, COO, Bajaj Auto, to Minda Stoneridge chairman Ashok Minda and GCEO, Spark Minda Group, and N K Modi, MD, Minda Stoneridge Instruments.

The award is for implementation and sustenance of the 'The TPM Way' of working and achieving improvement in productivity, product quality, product development lead time and total employee involvement. The company’s statement says the award is in recognition of the efforts made by the Minda Stoneridge Instruments team in challenging and fulfilling TPM excellence targets set by Bajaj Auto.

Minda Stoneridge Instruments, which manufactures instrument clusters, dashboard clocks, fuel level sensors, dashboard assemblies, speed sensors and temperature sensors,  also has plants in Chennai and Pantnagar which cater to the requirements of OEMs in South and North India respectively.

Meanwhile, Minda Corporation Ltd (MCL), Pantnagar, has bagged Bajaj Auto’s BAL ‘Q’ award. The two-wheeler manufacturer has introduced this award for the first time, which is given for outstanding performance in quality and for achieving all six quality award in all categories – bronze, silver, gold, platinum and super platinum – in the span of the past six years.
