Maruti Vitara Brezza drives past 400,000 sales milestone in 35 months
Since its launch, the Vitara Brezza has proved to be a real game-changer in the industry and helped Maruti grab market share in the segment.
Cumulative sales of the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, which was launched on March 8, 2016, have crossed the 400,000 units mark in less than three years. According to the company, the Vitara Brezza leads the compact SUV segment with a market share of over 44 percent year-to-date.
Right since July 2016, the Vitara Brezza has been the leader in the UV market, with the Hyundai Creta a consistent second. Since its launch, it has proved to be a real game-changer in the industry and helped Maruti grab market share in the segment. With a 28.34 percent UV share, the company is the market leader, ahead of Mahindra & Mahindra which has 24.2 percent.
While the first 100,000 unit sales came up in 12 months, the 200,000 mark came up in 20 months, the 300,000 milestone was crossed in 28 months and now the 400,000 landmark in 35 months.
R S Kalsi, senior executive director (Marketing and Sales), Maruti Suzuki India, said: “The Vitara Brezza has struck the right chord with Indian customers and has transformed the compact SUV landscape in India. It continues to be the most loved and awarded SUV despite several new entrants into the segment.”
With the Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki introduced dual-tone colours – a first in its segment – which have got high acceptance with customers. Auto Gear Shift, offered on the SUV, also received a positive response from customers.
