Toyota Kirloskar is getting ready to introduce a Compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle (CMPV) in the current fiscal year. This will be the first cross-badge Toyota vehicle made available to Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL).

In addition to this, the company is currently ready to release a B-SUV car with a Suzuki design and robust hybrid technology as a CAFÉ 2 compatible item. Vehicles will be manufactured at Toyota's Bidadi facility and provided to alliance member Maruti Suzuki in order to strengthen the partnership with MSIL, the company said.

Toyota has signed agreements with Toyota Motor (TMC), Suzuki Motor (SMC), and Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) for the mutual supply of products and components. Toyota Kirloskar is a subsidiary of TMC.

Further, Toyota management highlighted that with the automotive market recovering from the adverse impact of the Covid-19 pandemic during the last two financial years, the company has posted a positive result in this financial year. “The company has formulated a mid-long strategy to counter the impact of the stated factors and will execute the same in a time-bound manner” the company's top leadership has indicated.

During FY22, the company’s dealer network remained stable with a total number of 421 dealerships, though plans remain now to expand it in the coming years.
