Speaking at the launch of the BS VI compliant Ertiga S-CNG,  Shashank Srivastava, executive director (Marketing & Sales), Maruti Suzuki India said, “The Ertiga has been a market leader amongst MPVs, and the introduction of BS VI S-CNG will further help augment its leadership in the segment. Being the first company to introduce factory-fitted CNG cars in the country, today we proudly own the largest portfolio of green vehicles. We would like to thank our customers for their confidence and trust in our products.”

The launch of Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG vehicle range is aligned to the government of India’s vision of reducing oil imports and enhancing the share of natural gas in the energy basket of the country from 6.2% now to 15% by 2030.
