MapmyIndia, a digital map data, navigation, tracking and location-based service products (LBS) and GPS and GIS-based systems integration service provider, is targeting double-digit growth in 2014-15.

As part of its growth strategy, the company has recently launched Smart Mirror convergence-navigation. Smart Mirror is a navigator which is also a rearview mirror and doubles up as a reverse camera screen. Along with detailed maps of India, the product features the MapmyIndia Navigator seamlessly merged with a rearview mirror to offer assisted driving experience.

The company also plans to launch rear seat entertainment systems in the next couple of months. Speaking to Autocar Professional, Rakesh Verma, MD, MapmyIndia, said: “It’s a portable device and can be installed in cars and buses. It is based on the Android operating system functionally like a tablet but it has got a better interface and is very useful for passengers sitting in the rear seat.”

MapmyIndia is also targeting exports. While the export business at present is negligible, the company sees considerable potential in the sector. Verma said, “We have started the export process and next year we are counting on it in a big way.”
