A month and a half after India’s Makino Automotive and Japan’s RK Takasago inked a technical partnership for standard and heavy-duty chains with increased strength and durability, the two companies have launched a new motorcycle chain for the India market. Makino RK’s new chain promises high endurance, safety, durability and performance.
The new motorcycle chain was launched in Malaysia where Makino RK owns a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, one of the largest amongst its plants. The company aims to officially launching the product in India soon.
In sync with the booming two-wheeler market, the aftermarket automotive chain segment is thriving in India and has witnessed exponential growth. It is close to Rs 700-800 crore and is growing at the rate of 10-15 percent.
Speaking about the launch, Faisal Matin, CEO, Makino Automotive, said, “The world’s top five motorcycle companies use RK’s motorcycle chains which offer the most seamless and uncompromising performance.”
Makino RK will offer standard and heavy-duty chains with increased strength and durability as per OEM specifications. All these chains will be pre-stressed and pre-stretched for superior performance and to minimize elongation during the life of the chain. Apart from this, the company will also provide excellent quality and cost performance for light duty motorcycle application.
